Internet resources: “Yandex” has joined its online repository of files into a single service

“Yandex” has joined its cloud data repository refusing form the service of downloading and file sharing at “Yandex.People” in favor of the repository “Yandex.Disk”, the statement says at the company web site.

Internet users have long been available to use “Yandex.People” to store their files. However, in early April 2012 the company launched cloud data storage which was published by the functionality of the service “Yandex.People”

“We decided it was best to keep them (tools for storing the files - Edit.) in one place, rather than the two services at once. At the “Disk” is much easier to work with files”, stated representatives of by “Yandex”.

According to the company, all the files uploaded to the “Yandex.People” will still be available, and users can share with each other references to them.

The service “Yandex.Disk”, launched at the beginning of April, allows storing files in the Internet in any format – such, for example, as music, movies, photos, documents - and to access them from multiple devices. It offers users 10 GB of free space that is available for free to increase up to 20 gigabytes. As for December, everyday users have downloaded 3.5 million files at the “Yandex.Disk”.
