History of Russia: Exhibition “Battle of Stalingrad. Look through the years” in Penza

January 15, 2013 the M. Y. Lermontov Penza regional library opened the exhibition of documents and materials “Battle of Stalingrad. Look through the years” is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Stalingrad, which will be celebrated in Russia in the beginning of February.

The exhibition features more than 420 copies of unique documents that are stored in the library's collections. These are monographs, marshals and ordinary memories, newspapers, reference books, gramophone records telling about the unprecedented feat of our people in the Great Patriotic War. A special place in the exposition takes a collection of “Witnesses of anxious years”, which features books published during the Great Patriotic War in Penza by the publishing house “Stalin Banner”.

The exhibition will run till February 15, 2013.
