The Presidential Library: New acquisitions

The holdings of the Presidential Library have been enriched with digital copies of documents provided by our partners from the Komi National Library, Kirov and Sakhalin regions and the city of Pyatigorsk.

The Komi National Library has provided electronic copies of publications containing information about the geography, nature, minerals, water resources, trade, fisheries, population, public education and other selected areas of the Komi Republic and Perm Krai: A. Popov The Pechersky Krai that in Ustsysolsky district, the Vologda diocese and its natural resources (Vologda, 1914), the Cherdynsky Krai: Society edition for the Study of Cherdynsky Krai. Issue 2: December 1927 (Usolye, 1927); as well as publications in Komi-Zyransky language being one of the three major dialects of the Komi language: A. Popov ABC for Zyryan youth or the easiest way to learn to read and write (St. Petersburg, 1865), P. I. Savvaitov Zyransky-Russian and Russian-Zyryansky dictionary compiled by Paul Savvaitov (St. Petersburg, 1850).

The A. I. Herzen Kirov Regional Universal Research Library provided a number of papers on various aspects of the region's history.

Finds of the Stone, Bronze and Iron Ages in the province are reflected in the New information on the prehistoric archeology of the Vyatka region (Vyatka, 1887) A. A. Spitsyn.

On the origin of Vyatka land and its first settlers is told in books: A. S. Vereshchagin From the History of Old Vyatka (Vyatka, 1905), A. A. Spitsyn the Vyatka Antiquity (Vyatka, 1884).

Texts of monuments of the Vyatka language, as well as works based on them allow looking at the historical past of the area: Ancient acts related to the history of the Vyatka region: an application to the 2nd volume of the book "A Century of Vyatka province" (Vyatka, 1881), a Chronicler of old years (Vyatka, 1905), The tale of Vyatka country (Vyatka, 1905), Tales of Russian chroniclers of Vyatka (Vyatka, 1905).

Vyatka Pocrov Church is told in the Materials for the history of the churches of the Diocese of Vyatka by A. A. Spitsyn (Vyatka, 1888).

The administrative structure of the territory in different historical periods and life of certain groups of people are covered by A. A. Spitsyn I. Local and regional management in Vyatka till the XVIII century; II. To the history of Vyatka foreigners (Vyatka, 1888).

Valuable material for history, especially domestic, of the Vyatka region is presented in the Housekeeping of the senior of the city of Khlynov I. Repin, 1678-80s (Vyatka, 1906).

The Sakhalin Regional Museum has provided historical and geographic and ethnographic research Materials on the history of Northern Japan and its relationship to the mainland of Asia and Russia (Iokohama, 1909).

The book by A. Modylevsky Historical Pyatigorsk. All the secrets of an ancient street (Pyatigorsk, 2011) from a private collection (Pyatigorsk) tells about the people of Pyatigorsk, left their mark not only in the history of the city, but in the history of the country.
