Memory of Russia: Day of Remembrance for the Russian soldiers who fell in World War I of 1914-1918 signed

President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Amendment to Article 1.1 of the Federal Law on Days of Military Glory and Remembrance Days in Russia.

The Federal Law adds the date of August 1 to the list of Russian remembrance days as a Day of Remembrance for the Russian soldiers who fell in World War I of 1914-1918.

This remembrance day is being established with the aim of eternising the memory and acknowledging the deeds of the Russian soldiers who fell in World War I.
