Libraries of Russia: The XVIII International Research Conference “The library study – 2013” in Moscow

In spring 2013 the Institute of Information and Communications of the Moscow State University Culture and Arts holds traditional “Skvortsov readings” – the XVIII International Research Conference "Library - 2013: Library and information activities in the modern system of information, document communications and culture”.

The conference will be held on 24-25 April 2013 at the Moscow State University of Culture and Arts.

The conference program proposes research reports on current issues in library science, bibliography, book science, computer science, bond communication, library and information technology, as well as modern aspects of training.

The reports will be discussed in the following sections:

Section № 1: General theory and the history of library science, bibliography, information, documentation.

Section № 2: Strategy and Tactics of library management as a multi-functional institution.

Section № 3: New information technologies in the field of library and information service, information and documentation. Electronic and traditional information resources.

Section № 4: Graduate Library and Information Education in Russia and abroad.

Section № 5: Library and information services for users. The activities of libraries of different types and kinds.

Section № 6: Actual problems of reading of children and young people.
