Memory of Russia: Monument to Mikhail Romanov set up in Kostroma

The monument to the first tsar of the House of Romanov – Mikhail Feodorovich Romanov is set up in Kostroma. Before the revolution the city has already had the monument to tsar. It was set up on the Susaninskaya square. In honor of the 400th anniversary of the House of Romanov the monument was restored by Boris Korobov. The consecration of the bust was made by the Kostroma diocesan secretary Archpriest Valery Bunteev.

From the monument it was started a multi-daily run on snowmobiles through the Kostroma, Kirov and Perm regions. The annual run Kostroma – Yekaterinburg this year is dedicated to the 400th anniversary of the House of Romanov. In the final destination, where the royal family found its last resting, motorcyclists will bring a piece of land from the place of a feat of Susanin and the stone, extracted from the base of the Assumption Cathedral of the Ipatiev Monastery.

February 20, in Kostroma started commemorative events, dedicated to the 400th anniversary of the House of Romanov. They were opened with the round table of the School of Public Policy “The Monarchial idea in the XXI century”.
