
Internet and society: The first Finnish-Russian children’s portal is launched in Finland
Nonprofit organization “Society Mosaiikki ry” has prepared and posted in the Internet in free access the test version of the first in Finland bilingual Finnish-Russian Children’s portal “RuFfi”. The main purpose of the portal is to help children in an entertaining way to learn Finnish and Russian with the help of interactive games.
The portal is divided into two distinct parts: “Children” and “Parents”. At present, the children’s part of the portal is developed. The adult section will be created later.
The building and programming of the children's web site and its original content has been made possible through the support of the Ministry of Education of Finland, the Russkiy Mir Foundation and Jyväskylä.
Now the Internet has Russian and Finnish versions of Children’s portal in the test mode, which will be improved and perfected.
