President of Russia: Vladimir Putin has met with Russian diplomats

February 11, 2013 in Novo-Ogaryovo Russian President Vladimir Putin has met with the direction and specialists of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. The meeting was timed to the Day of Diplomat, which is celebrated on February 10. During the meeting, the head of the state presented to a number of diplomats state awards.

Speaking on the challenges facing today Russian diplomacy, the Russian President said: “The priority importance and sensitive use of the mechanisms of “soft power”: the strengthening of the Russian language, the active promotion of a positive image of Russia abroad, the ability to seamlessly integrate into the global information flows. All this and much more are included in the range of tasks that have to be addressed to the diplomat in the daily work”.
