
Memorable dates of Russia: Memorial Day of A. S. Pushkin
February 10, 2013 it is marked 176 years since the death of A. S. Pushkin. The National Pushkin Museum (St. Petersburg) holds memorable events dedicated to this date.
At 12.00 it is held a memorial meeting dedicated to the 172nd anniversary of the death of A. S. Pushkin at the Lyceum garden at the monument to the poet (Pushkin town).
At 14.30 it is opening the memorial meeting in the courtyard of the apartment-museum of A. S. Pushkin, the poet's monument (River Embankment Moyka, 12), where the Director of the National Pushkin Museum Sergey Nekrasov, Director of the Institute of Russian Literature (the Pushkin House) Vsevolod Bagno, representatives of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg will deliver their speech.
At 14.45 - A minute of silence.
At 16.30 in the Museum will be open the exhibition “Portrait of the Poet”. It includes portraits of A. S. Pushkin works by artists of the XIX century from the National Museum of A. S. Pushkin.
