World history: Historical and Archive exhibition “The Russian abroad in China in the first half of the XX century: Siberian trace” in Omsk

In Omsk, at the Center of Civil War history has opened the Historical and Archive exhibition “The Russian Abroad in China in the first half of the XX century: the Siberian trace”. The exposition tells about one of the most exciting and dramatic pages of white emigration.

The exhibition is prepared by the workers of the Historical Archive of the Omsk Region, the Omsk museum of education and public organization “Omsk Harbin”. Its materials and exhibits clearly reflect life, lifestyle, cultural and educational environment of the Russian Diaspora in Harbin, mastered the territory of the Chinese Eastern Railway.

“The basis of the exhibition are documents, photos inmates of Russian schools, the Orthodox churches in Harbin, various domestic scenes, family photos of Russian Harbin”, - said Borodina. According to her, no less impressive issued to residents of Omsk in 1918 of the Kolchak administration passports, banknotes issued by the CER, the governments of Manchukuo and China.
