8 February 2013

On February 7, 2013 the facsimile reprint of the unique manuscript Gospel of the XIV century was for the first time presented in Russia – in the information agency ITAR-TASS. By the accurate reproduction of the exact copy of the book believers and scientists owe to Volynskaya Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

The modern edition was like the original, 6.5 thick and containing 500 pages. It was difficult to find appropriate thickness and roughness of the paper. The printing was one of the best printing establishments of Kiev, and the cover with a complex stamping is made in Lvov.

Specialists think that “the book is almost identical to the original”. For the first time the Lutsk Gospel was presented in October 2011 in Kiev. Then the book took a prominent place at the Lvov Book Forum, and after in the German Frankfurt am Main.
