February 4, 2013 it is marked the 140th anniversary of the birth of Mikhail Prishvin, a prominent Russian writer, philosopher, and photographer. He was born on February 4, 1873 in the Province of Orel County (now Yeletsky district of the Lipetsk region). In his works he reflected what he saw during numerous trips - on the Volga region, the Crimea and Kazakhstan, the Far East, Kostroma and Yaroslavl land.

The writer in his diaries wrote with admiration about the nature of the Far East.
The exposition features more than 60 works by artists of Primorye - paintings, drawings, watercolors. All of them are devoted to the nature of the Far East - the Ussuri taiga, the sea, Mountain Rivers and lakes.
