Society and culture: Events to the International Theatre Day in Moscow

The exhibition of works of artists “The results of the season” opens on March 27, 2013 on the International Theatre Day in the capital gallery “Mars”. The event is timed to the passing in Moscow festival “Golden Mask”.  

The exhibition features works by famous masters of the stage and set designers-beginners. About a hundred artists present their scenery, sketches, installations, artifacts, photographs and theatrical costumes.

“The main criterion for selection of works in the exhibition is high quality. And this is for sure works implemented over the last season - said the exhibition's curator Inna Mirzoyan. - Visitors will see sketches and models of performances of famous directors”.

Also in Moscow on the night of March 27 was held the first “Night at the theater”. The action, which was attended by 17 teams of the capital, is dedicated to the annually celebrated on March 27 the World Theatre Day.

As part of the action in theatres took place open rehearsals, meetings with playwrights, directors and actors, the night performances, concerts, backstage tours, visits of thematic exhibitions.

Thus, in “Pyotr Fomenko workshop” is organized an exhibition of “Theater technology for early Italian Baroque” and in the theater of Roman Viktyuk was held an open rehearsal of the play “Masquerade”. In the Moscow Open Student Theater (MOST), the audience was expecting a seven-hour theatrical marathon with playwrights. In the theater, “Et Cetera” under the direction of Alexander Kalyagin there were shown fragments of anniversary evening in honor of the 20th anniversary of the group, and here was launched an exhibition.
