Information technology and security: The XII International conference “Ensuring of confidence and security in the use of ICT” took place in Moscow

Deputy Minister of Communications and Mass Media of Russia Denis Sverdlov welcomed speech at the opening of the XII International conference “Ensuring confidence and security in the use of ICT”, which took place in Moscow on March 19-20, 2013. During the meeting there were discussed issues of improving the normative legal base in the field of security of information and communication technology (ICT).

Denis Sverdlov noted that the ensuring of security in the use of ICT is a hot topic in the growth of cybercrime.

According to Denis Sverdlov, to discuss the ICT security issue is necessary on international level. “Internet technologies are transboundary, so without participation of other countries to solve the problem will be difficult”, - said the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Communications.

Denis Sverdlov emphasized that the Ministry expects to receive by the end of the conference the proposals on the improvement of normative legal base in the field of ICT security use.
