The presentation of the official web site of the expedition “Karelia: the North Pole – the southern tip of Greenland” took place in the government of the Republic of Karelia. The traveler and participant of the unique expedition Victor Simonov started the countdown to the start of the expedition, which begins on April 6, 2013 at the North Pole.

According to Minister of Youth, Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism of Karelia Alexander Voronov, “in Karelia it is created the headquarters, twice a day, from the start of travel to the headquarters will come the latest and current information about the travel, which will be published at the web site”. “After the start of the campaign, there will be activated an interactive map of the expedition, on which it will be possible to watch Feodor and mine movement online”, - added Victor Simonov.

During the expedition, “Karelia: the North Pole - the southern tip of Greenland”, the participants of extreme travel - Feodor Konyukhov and Victor Simonov pass through more than 4 thousand km of icy expanses. This is the longest and still impregnable route in the Arctic. The expedition will take place in dogs bred in Karelia and trained specifically for this transition.
