Information and society: New resources IFLA on the role of libraries in the information society

IFLA opens a new complex of resources on the role played by libraries in the information society.

On the new pages are considered various forums on the information society, such as the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS), the Internet Governance Forum (IGF), and it shows why the participation of libraries there is so important. 

In addition to these resources, the pages provide the revised version of the 2013 the IFLA Position on Internet Governance, which outlined the view of the management of the Internet in the approach of the multiplicity of participation in the management of the Internet, and, finally, the pages provide information on how anyone can take participation in solving problems at the national and international levels.
