Russian culture abroad: Exhibition “Kandinsky and Russia” in Brussels

The exhibition “Kandinsky and Russia” opened on March 8, 2013 in the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Brussels.
The exposition features about 50 works by Russian artist, one of the founders and theorist of abstract art. Visitors will be also able to see paintings of Russian avant-gardes and symbolists – Mikhail Larionov, Natalya Goncharova, Kazimir Malevich, Nicholas Roerich, Mikhail Vrubel and Ivan Bilibin.
The most part of works of artists is presented by Russian museums, in particular, the State Russian Museum (Saint-Petersburg) as well as the Paris Museum of Modern Art and private collectors.
The exhibition “Kandinsky and Russia” will run till June 30.
