Russian language: International conference “Russian language in a foreign audience” in Barnaul

In Barnaul is held the International conference “Russian language in a foreign audience”. It is dedicated to the teaching of Russian as a foreign language. The forum is attended by specialists from many regions of Russia, as well as Spain, Germany, Ukraine, Poland and the Czech Republic.

The conference is held in the form of sections, where linguists discuss issues in different areas as well as master classes, during which experienced teachers share their experiences.

-We teach foreign students, first of all, to speak in Russian. Native speakers used to it and often cannot even explain why they use a particular grammatical form. We, as specialists, should be able to explain why we put this word or a combination of words, - said one of organizers of the conference, the head of Department of Russian as a foreign language of the I. I. Polzunov Altai State Technical University Natalya Baryshnikova.
