Information technology and education: The conference participants study the leading experience of IT in education in Ufa

Experience to improve the educational process and the quality of life in general with the help of information technology will be discussed at the opening on February 28, 2013 in Ufa the International Scientific and Practical conference “Smart-region: abilities of e-education”.

President of Bashkiria Rustem Khamitov said that the government of the republic will develop e-education “in all directions. New technology should be mastered not only by schoolchildren and students but also by the adult working population, because they can improve the quality of life”, - he noted.

Experts believe that it is necessary to implement e-education at the state level. This is especially important for Russia because of its geographical features: only the availability of continuous online learning will allow overcome “educational inequality” of citizens of different regions.

The head of the Agency on information technology of the Republic Ildar Yamalov reported that Bashkortostan was chosen to host the conference as one of the most advanced in terms of the use among ICT regions. 

According to him, among main objectives of the conference is “the study of foreign and national experience in the field of information and communication technology in the educational process”. To solve this and other problems in the Ufa Congress-Hall met experts of educational authorities, educational institutions of all the levels, specialists in the field of e-education, software developers.
