International events: The photo exhibition “Grand Prix in Russian” as part of the “cross” year of Russia – the Netherlands

April 26, 2013 in Amsterdam as part of the year of the Russian Federation in the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the year of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Russian Federation opens the exhibition “Grand Prix in Russian. Photographs of Russian and Soviet winners WORLD PRESS PHOTO”.

The exhibition is a part of the official cultural events of the year of the Russian Federation in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, planned by Rossotrudnichestvo in 2013.

The exhibition “Grand Prix in Russian” is the first joint project of Rossotrudnichestvo and a non-profit organization RUSS PRESS PHOTO, representing the Dutch public the largest retrospective of photographs by local journalists from 1955 to 2013. A unique exposition consists of 505 photographs and 117 authors and will be presented in the oldest building in Amsterdam of the 13th century - the Old Church - Oude Kerk in conjunction with the exhibition of the winners WORLD PRESS PHOTO 2013.

As part of the exhibition it will be held the presentation of the English version of the photographic album “WORLD PRESS PHOTO LAUREATES FROM RUSSIA AND THE SOVIET UNION”.

The activities in Amsterdam – is the start of the European tour of the project. During the year Rossotrudnichestvo and RUSS PRESS PHOTO will present the exhibition in Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany and other countries of Europe.
