Russian culture abroad: The II Festival “Days of Russian culture” in Germany

From April 25 to May 8, 2013 in Baden-Baden and other cities of Germany (Badenweiler, Wiesbaden, Darmstadt, Karlsruhe, Mannheim, Freiburg, Frankfurt, Heidelberg, Heilbronn, and Stuttgart) is held the II Festival “Days of Russian culture” as part of the official events of Russia-Germany.

The Grand Opening Ceremony of the II Festival “Days of Russian Culture” is held on April 26 in Kurhaus in Baden-Baden. As part of the festival traditionally it will be held the awarding of the prestigious International Prize “The Tree of Life” to prominent figures of culture, art and science of Russia and Germany. 

In the best concert halls, cathedrals and castles of Baden-Baden and other German cities will be held concerts, performances, meetings with participation of the stars of the world stage and Russian culture, classical and jazz, opera, ballet, theater…The cinemas of different cities will host various film screenings creative meetings with famous Russian directors and film actors. There will be featured exhibitions from the museum’s collections, photo exhibition; there will be held presentations, entertainment and educational programs for children and youth and much more.

The Festival “Days of Russian Culture” - is not only an arena for demonstrating the achievements of Russian artists, but also a representative forum for the discussion of topical issues of German-Russian relations, contributing to a better understanding between Germany and Russia.
