
Society and Reading: All-Russian Action in support of reading “BiblioNight 2013”
All-Russian Action in support of reading “BiblioNight 2013” is going on at a weekend night from April 19th to 20th, 2013.
This yearly large-scale nation-wide event is meant to encourage social awareness of the significance of literature as historic and national project of Russia. This remarkable night the libraries, museums, galleries and bookstores throughout the country open theirs doors for public, offering master-classes, literary quests, contests, and meetings with authors.
The “BibliNight“ event’s objective is to support a reading as a way of life and to further the growth of the literature process as a unique, binding all Nation phenomenon. “BibliNight“ suggests the new solutions and forms of inclusion into broader contexts, opens the new possibilities for professional cooperation, and appears as a key of arousing the interest to creative competition countrywide and broader within community.
In 2013 all the events on the agenda of action in support of reading as a way of life, allowing the librarian and literary network to extend the formats of professional cooperation and public communication, joint into key idea of “The Grand Literary Trip”.
Children programs of “BiblioNight 2013” are traditionally packed into “BibliTwilight” special project, formed as a complex of interactivities that developed with psychological peculiarities of young booklovers.
More than 100 Moscow libraries, including Russian State Library (РГБ) with special program, dedicated to its own 150th Anniversary.
