History of Russia: A cycle of virtual exhibitions “Battles that changed the course of war” at the web site of the National Library of the Republic of Khakassia

On the eve of the Victory Day, the National Library of the Republic of Khakassia offers its readers a cycle of virtual exhibitions “Battles that changed the course of the war”.

In April, at the web site of the N. G. Domozhakov National Library opened the exhibition “Remembering the Battle of Stalingrad...” dedicated to the 70th anniversary of heroic battle, which started the turning point in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

Documentary books, diaries, military memoirs and works of writers – Members of the Battle of Stalingrad, as well as books by contemporary authors of the war - visitors will be able to see at the virtual exhibition.

In August, at the web site of the library will be exhibited a virtual exhibition dedicated to the Day of the defeat of Soviet forces by German troops in the Battle of Kursk.

The National Library offers its readers traditional exhibitions. The book-illustrative exhibition “The Great Patriotic War 1941-1945” presents memories and memoirs of war veterans, military albums with photographs and illustrations of paintings, records and CDs with the front-line songs. Sections of the exhibition “The Poetry” and “The prose” include fiction writers - the Great Patriotic War - writers who have become classics of Soviet literature. Military songs, sounding with musical accompaniment, will create the awareness and feel the atmosphere of wartime.
