Information technology and archives: Works on digitization of documents of the Leningrad Regional State Archive completed

The “Electronic Archive” Corporation has completed a set of works on creation of electronic fund use on archival documents of the Leningrad Regional State Archive in the city of Vyborg (LRSAV).

The works are implemented in the framework of the long-term target program “Development of the Information Society in the Leningrad region in 2011-2013” on the order of the Committee on Telecommunications and Information of the Leningrad region.

The project started in 2011 and took place in three stages. Totally in the course of the work over there were digitized over 33 500 archival files indexed over 1 350 000 graphic images of original documents, as well as formed a database.
