To the 400th anniversary of the Romanov dynasty: The exhibition “The First Romanovs and St. Simeon Land” in the Sverdlovsk region

From 24 May to October 31, 2013 in the Verkhoturye city of the Sverdlovsk Region is held the exhibition “The First Romanovs and St. Simeon Land” dedicated to the 400th anniversary of the Romanov dynasty.

The exposition is organized by the Verhotursky State Historical-Architectural Museum-Reserve, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Sverdlovsk region in celebration of the 400th anniversary of the restoration of the Russian statehood and historical heritage of the Romanov dynasty in the Urals.

The exhibition can be called unique, if only because seven museums of the Sverdlovsk region worked on its development. For the first time in the Sverdlovsk region are presented memorial items associated with the first members of the Romanov dynasty, rare books, ritual objects, weapons, clothing and coins of the XVII - XVIII centuries from the State Historical Museum, the Verkhotursk State Historical-Architectural Museum-Reserve, the Sverdlovsk Regional Museum, the Krasnoturinsky Historical and Ethnographic Museum, the Serov Historical Museum, the Krasnoturinsky Local Lore Museum, the Orthodox Museum of the  Nicholas Monastery, the Archaeological Laboratory of Ural Federal University.

The Sverdlovsk Region Government plans the implementation in 2013 of the major events on the 400th anniversary of the restoration of the Russian statehood and historical heritage of the Romanov dynasty in the Urals. During 2013, in commemoration of the 400th anniversary of the Provincial Council and the reign of the Romanov dynasty, in the Sverdlovsk Region will be memorial, cultural, educational, scientific and research activities, there will be implemented exhibition projects that contribute to promoting the historical and cultural heritage of Russia and the development of international cultural cooperation and tourism potential of the Sverdlovsk region.
