Book publishing and book distribution: The Russian stand at the Warsaw Book Fair presented more than a thousand books

In Warsaw (Poland), with the active participation of Russia on May 16, 2013 opened the IV Warsaw Book Fair. On the shelves of the stand of the Russian Federation are exposed more than a thousand books published by more than 130 domestic publishing houses.

“As part of our exhibition Polish readers will be able to get acquainted with classical and modern Russian literature. This cultural event is designed to promote cooperation, mutual understanding and friendly relations of related Slavic peoples”, - note the organizers of the Russian side.

For the convenience of visitors all the materials are divided by themes: “Modern prose and poetry. The works of the winners of the national literary awards”, “The works by Polish authors in Russian, books about Russian-Polish relations, publications on Poland, the Polish-Russian dictionaries and phrasebooks”, “The Russian History and Culture”, “The modern Russian fiction”.

The Russian exposition at the Warsaw Book Fair is traditionally broad interested. Its site has always a lot of visitors looking to learn about modern authors, looking through rare books and even purchasing some literature. The most frequent guests are representatives of blended families, Poles, for whom the Russian language is associated with youth, and young people actively studying the Russian language and interesting in new books in the original language.
