This year, with an active participation of the President of Russia, was re-established the Military Historical Society, that is completely natural, as the interest in military history museums in the country has been steadily growing. Moreover, that next year will mark by celebration the 100th anniversary of the beginning of the First World War and the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi Blockade of Leningrad, and in two years we will be celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

A work on the organizational support of the Association has already begun - the working group is built of well-known historians, weapons experts, archivists, museum workers, archaeologists, and restorers. It is already known that the offer to join the new association will be made not only to specialized institutions, but also to the largest museums in the country, preserving in their collections the items related to the military history of the homeland.
