Internet resources: Google integrates the “Calendar” service in Gmail

7 May 2013

Google has implemented in Gmail interface a new useful feature that allows you to create calendar entries when you are working with the letters in the Gmail main interface. According to Google representatives, the new feature is able to recognize the dates and time contained in the texts of letters, and to highlight them, offering to make an appropriate note in your Calendar. Make a note itself is also quite easy: there is no need to go to the Calendar interface; you can activate a pop-up menu in the window of a letter and open the mini-window of the Calendar, where the system automatically detects and selects the proposed date.

Google representatives say that you can now work with the Calendar right from Gmail, modifying other fixed dates and events related to them.

For the time being, the new feature works only in the English version of Gmail, and can detect only the dates / time in the traditional Latin formats. Google representative say that the international versions of the feature will appear later.
