History and culture: The Forum on Cultural heritage issues opened in Khakassia

The third International Forum on the preservation of historical and cultural heritage and its use for social and cultural development of the regions opened on June 26 in Khakassia. The forum will run until June 30.

The Forum “Historical and cultural heritage as a resource for social and cultural development” is held by the Government of Khakassia, with the support of the Russian government, and under the auspices of UNESCO in 2011. Forum participants are employees of the leading research institutes in Russia, museums, foreign historians and archaeologists, heads of ministries, regional leaders and businessmen.

“The discussions of the upcoming forum will focus on the role of culture in economic breakthrough of the country, the development of book and typographic culture, as well as the restoration of children’s tourism and small tourism, including non urban territories”, - it is said in a statement.
