Information technology and education: Bing to launch search engine for school children

In 2013 Bing will be launched a special version of its search engine, designed for schools. Bing For Schools will be differed with higher level of protection of personal data and filter of adult content, and the issuance of the search engine will exclude all advertising messages. In addition, the service will provide additional learning opportunities that will enhance the “digital literacy”.

In the release, which was made up by Matt Wollert - Officer of Bing, responsible for behavioral studies - agreed that a new free service will be used solely at the discretion of the school authorities. For those who want a special school search it will be available without any additional software: it will run when approaching the usual page Bing from the school network.
