
International events: The Forum of youth organizations and foreign Russian language media “Russian abroad” in Saint-Petersburg
In the period from July 1, 2013 in the framework of the Government of Saint-Petersburg “Compatriots” the Committee for External Relations of Saint-Petersburg holds the VI Petersburg Forum of youth organizations of Russian compatriots and foreign Russian-language media “Russian abroad”. About 100 people from 47 countries are the participants of the program: Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Argentina, Armenia, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Hungary, Germany, Georgia, Greece, Egypt, Israel, Spain, Italy, Canada, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Mexico, Moldova, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, the USA, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Uruguay, Finland, France, Croatia, Montenegro, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden, Estonia.
By tradition, the content of the VI Petersburg Forum “Russian abroad” will include two main directions:
• For youth organizations of Russian compatriots. The program is designed to help young foreign compatriots to strengthen ties with their historical homeland, to encourage interest in the study of the Russian language, literature and history of Russia, to stimulate the interest to the Russian art – the Petersburg school of painting, photography and sculpture. The educational lectures and workshops on two parallel sessions: “Art” and “Leadership” will take place.
• For foreign Russian language media. The program is designed to help journalists of foreign Russian language media to improve professional knowledge and skills, to broaden their horizons and to give impetus to further work. For participants will be organized courses of improvement of qualification, developed with the participation of leading specialists of Saint-Petersburg in the field of journalism.
All foreign compatriots will take part in interactive sessions, the work of which will be built in such a way as to promote personal growth, the development of communication skills of each participant.
