
Society and church: International religious procession timed to the 1025th anniversary of the Christianization of Rus arrived in Rostov on Don
A shrine with relics of Saint Prince Vladimir on the night of June 17 arrived in Rostov on Don as part of the Religious procession dedicated to the 1025th anniversary of the Christianization of Rus.
A solemn meeting of the shrine with the relics took place at the railway station of Rostov on Don. The special wagon with a relic arrived in the Don capital from Nizhny Novgorod.
Then the relics of the Baptizer of Rus were transported to the Rostov Cathedral. Then the religious procession went to Pyatigorsk.
The symbolic religious procession with the holy relics of Prince Vladimir is held through three countries - Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. 31 May the religious procession came out of Moscow, its route runs from Vladivostok to Kaliningrad with stops in the cities of Khabarovsk, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Nizhniy Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don, Pyatigorsk and Saint-Petersburg - to allow the faithful worship the shrine.
