To the 400th anniversary of the Romanovs: The exhibition “Siberia and the Romanovs” in Irkutsk

June 11, 2013 in the department of history of the Irkutsk Regional Local Lore Museum opens the exhibition “Siberia and the Romanovs”, dedicated to the 400th anniversary of the House of Romanov. The exhibition is presented by the department of the book foundation of the Irkutsk Regional local Lore Museum.

The exhibition features rare books of the XVII-XXI centuries, revealing the history of the dynasty, as well as their relation to Siberia trough the ongoing projects.

In addition, Siberian coins, Siberian archaeological materials, geographical maps, various museum exhibits are on display. The exhibition is richly illustrated with archival photo materials that characterize the epoch of different monarchs.
