Russian regions: The round table “The Caucasus in Russian history: discussion problems” in Moscow

June 5, 2013 at the State Central Museum of Contemporary History (Moscow) is held the round table “The Caucasus in Russian history: discussion problems”, organized by the museum in conjunction with the Department of History and Philology sciences of the Russian Academy of Science.

The following aspects will be discussed:

-The geopolitical importance of the Caucasus region: yesterday, today, tomorrow;

-Origins of ties between Russia and the Caucasus;

- The Caucasus War and its consequences;

-Migration of the Caucasian peoples;

-Centre and the Caucasus: problems of management and the economics;
