Memory of Russia: Events dedicated to the Day of Memory of M. Y. Lermontov

July 27, 2013 it is marked 172 years since the death of Mikhail Lermontov. Every year on this day, at the house-museum of M. Y. Lermontov in Pyatigorsk (the Stavropol Krai) and the State Lermontov Museum-Reserve “Tarkhany” (the Penza region) are held events dedicated to the memory of the Great Russian poet.

The house-museum of M. Y. Lermontov in Pyatigorsk, on July 27, 2013 hosts the traditional literary and musical meetings.

“July 27 will be celebrated 172 years since the death of Mikhail Lermontov. Every year on this day in the courtyard of the house-museum the admirers of the poet Lermontov remember the famous line, biography and amazing facts of life”, - said at the press service of the administration of Pyatigorsk.

By tradition, literary-musical evening will bring together many admirers of the poet, the museum specialists, writers, artists, public figures, representatives of the Association “Lermontov Heritage” Lermontov scientists from across the country.

Every year for residents and visitors of the city to this day museum workers are preparing a big concert program. The program also includes a slide show “Yesterday I went to Pyatigorsk…”.

Also on this day in the State Lermontov Museum-Reserve “Tarkhany” (the Penza region) is held the Day of memory of the poet. There will take place a laying of flowers to the grave of Mikhail Lermontov, and then the literary and musical composition “Listen to me ... think of me”. Mikhail Lermontov in the reminiscences of contemporaries”.
