To the 1025th anniversary of the Christianization of Rus: Celebrations in Moscow began

July 24, 2013, on the day of commemoration of St. Olga, Grand Duchess of Russia, the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow is hosting the Divine Liturgy.

The liturgy will be served by the primates of the Local Orthodox Churches and the heads of delegations of the local Orthodox Churches, who arrived in the Russian capital to participate in the celebrations of the 1025th anniversary of the Baptism of Russia, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, members of the Holy Synod, the bishops and clergy of the Russian Orthodox Church.

In the center of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior there is the great Christian relic - Cross of the apostle St. Andrew the First-Called brought to Russia in time to celebrate the 1025th anniversary of the Baptism of Russia from the city of Patras (Greece).

The service will be attended by ambassadors of the Slavic countries, the authorities of Russia and Ukraine.
