Information technology and libraries: The opening of the library with materials accessible via QR-codes being planned in Kiev

The opening of a library with e-books is planned in the center of the Ukrainian capital Kiev. The distribution of mobile materials will be produced by using QR-codes. Anyone can read literature of the mobile library.

The launch of the project of mobile e-library is planned from 1 October 2013. The library will consist of books by Ukrainian writers, tourist guides and other materials. QR-Codes will be placed on the street Khreschatyk, 20/2 and 24.

As part of the cultural and educational project Kiev authorities are planning to expand the information opportunities for residents and guests of the capital. Due to this project it will be possible to facilitate navigation through the city, and learn interesting facts about our culture and history.

In case of a successful implementation of the project, these libraries will be organized in other cities.
