To the 400th anniversary of the Romanov dynasty: International Romanov readings in the Sverdlovsk region

International Romanov readings are held on July 17-19, 2013 in the Sverdlovsk region in honor of the 400th anniversary of the House of Romanov in the Urals.

This year the conference is held as part of the regional program of events, dedicated to the 400th anniversary of the restoration of the Russian state and historical heritage of the House of Romanov in the Urals. For the first time in a quarter of a century of its existence the conference is declared as an international one. This is due to the composition of speakers – the readings will be attended by representatives of the near and far abroad – Latvia and the Crimea. 

Among the participants of the conference are scientists from Yekaterinburg, Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Verkhoturye, Kemerovo, Nizhnevartovsk, Novouralsk, Perm, Samara, Tobolsk, Tula, Tyumen and Chita.

As part of the Romanov readings will be discussed the following topics:

- Statesmen of the Russian Empire,

 - Russian state and church,

- The Romanovs and the Ural region,

- The Romanovs in the history of Russia: museum and source study aspects of the problem,

- Tragedy of the Royal family in the Urals.
