Society and Media: The 110th anniversary of ITAR-TASS to widely celebrate in September 2014

President of Russia Vladimir Putin has signed a Decree on celebration in 2014 the 110th anniversary of the Russian news agency ITAR-TASS.

Given the important role of the Agency in the development of national mass media and international exchange of information, next year the head of the government has ordered to hold events dedicated to this date.

“To recommend public authorities of the subjects of the Russian Federation and the local authorities to participate in the preparation and implementation o events, dedicated to the celebration of the 110th anniversary of the FSUE “Information Telegraph Agency of Russia” (ITAR-TASS), - stated in the decree.
