Russian culture abroad: The photo exhibition “300 years of existence. The Holy Trinity Alexander Nevsky Lavra” in Simferopol

From 15 to 21 July 2013 in a Russian cultural center in the Crimea (Simferopol) is held a photo exhibition “300 years of existence. The Holy Trinity Alexander Nevsky Lavra.”.

The exhibition was prepared in Saint-Petersburg and is also dedicated to the 1025th anniversary of the Christianization of Rus.

The exhibition presents 80 photographs devoted to the architecture and history of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra, and modern life of the monastery.

The author of historical pictures is Karl Bulla. The authors of contemporary works are Russian artists Mikhail Manin, Yuri Kostygov and Alexander Petrosyan.
