Information technology and society: The Government of Russia has approved the project of “road map” on the development of information technology

The government of Russia has approved the draft of “road map” for the development of information technology.

As stated at the meeting of the Cabinet the Chairman of Russia Dmitry Medvedev, “with that being said I propose the draft to approve and make appropriate adjustments to the protocol decision”.

The “road map” for the development of information technologies will support the average growth rate of the industry in the years 2013-2018 at a level exceeding the average GDP growth rate of not less than three times. In addition, the implementation of the action plan will increase the number of jobs in the industry, will provide the increased production of domestic products and services, will improve productivity by accelerating the adoption of information technology in the related industries of the economy.
