Museums of Russia: The new exposition “Royal Rooms of the Peter and Paul Cathedral” opened in Saint-Petersburg

July 15, 2013 the State Museum of the History of Saint-Petersburg presents a new exhibition – “Royal rooms of the Peter and Paul Cathedral”.

The new exposition from the museum is opening the restored interiors of the royal rooms of the Peter and Paul Cathedral. Submitted here exhibits reveal the significance of the Peter and Paul Cathedral as one of the main temples of the country and the character of the Russian state.

The exhibition features portraits of Russian emperors and empresses, views of the imperial capital, the relics of the Peter and Paul Cathedral: icons, vestments of priests, temple decoration items, and items related to the burial ceremonies and honoring the memory of the deceased members of the Romanov family.
