The Romanov Dynasty” opened in the halls of the Museum Estate “Arkhangelskoe”

The porcelain sculpture exhibition “Russian monarchs. The Romanov Dynasty” is opening at the Museum Estate “Arkhangelskoe”. The exhibition, which reflects the history of the Russian state, is timed to the 400th anniversary of the Romanov dynasty.

The exhibition features more than 50 porcelain figurines. The visitors will see the Grand Prince Vladimir the Red Sun, Ivan III and his wife, the Byzantine princess Sophia Palaeologus, a prominent statesman Pyotr Stolypin.

The exhibition is based on a collection of unique porcelain dolls by Master Olina Wentzel. They all are made not only in the image and likeness of historical figures, but also dressed up in costumes made with the latest fashion of the time.
