Museums: The exhibition dedicated to the Battle of Kursk to be open in Belgorod

July 10, the Belgorod State Historical and Art Museum diorama “The Battle of Kursk, The Belgorod direction” opens the exhibition dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the victory of Soviet troops in the Battle of Kursk.

The exhibits are delivered from Moscow – from the Central Museum of the Armed Forces of the Ministry of Defense of Russia and the Military Commanders Victory Memorial Fund, from Ukraine – the National Memorial Complex “The Height of Marshal Konev” as well as from the Shebekinsky Historical and Art Museum and they are taken from archives of participants of the Battle of Kursk and their relatives.

Visitors can see the banners of compounds, participated in the Battle of Kursk, the samples of small and cold arms, photographs, documents, combat wards of soldiers and commanders of the Red Army, including Konev, Vatutin and Malinovsky.

Also it will be presented subjects of military servants, discovered by participants of the patriotic search club.

The main idea of ​​the exhibition is to highlight the historical role of the Battle of Kursk - a fundamental turning point in the World War II, to show the heroism and fortitude of Red Army soldiers, - noted at the museum.
