Information technology and the youth: National Finale of Technological Imagine Cup 2013 Contest opened in Saint-Petersburg
The Final of the one of the largest National Technological Contests Imagine Cup 2013 opened on July 8 in Saint-Petersburg, the winner will be determined on July 11.
“The competition includes graduate and undergraduate students from around the world, in a team or alone. The problem of participants - using their own knowledge and imagination to demonstrate how information technology can help solve today’s global problems”, - said the official contest page. The projects will present works of about 300 students from 69 countries of the world.
During the competitions the participants during 15 minutes are to present their project to the jury and to prove that it can improve the world. The competition will take place in three main categories: “social projects”, “games” and “innovations”.
Russia will be represented by winners of the regional finals - 2 teams from Moscow and a team from Cherepovets.
Imagine Cup 2013 is held in partnership with the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, the Fund “Skolkovo”, the Skolkovo Open University, Nokia, MTC, Samsung Electronics in Russia, the State Corporation “Rosatom”, USN Computers, DevExpress, Mail.ru Group, KFC and ABBYY.
