Libraries of Russia: The exhibition “Today I am wholeheartedly in Yerevan…” at the NLR

July 3 in the main building of the National Library of Russia in celebration of the days of Yerevan, Saint-Petersburg hosted the opening of the exhibition “Today I am wholeheartedly in Yerevan…”

The exhibition features rare books from the collections of Russian book holdings, the department of national literatures, prints, cartography and other parts of the NLR. These are books of famous Armenian writers and poets, posters, cards, albums and postcards with views of Yerevan and other valuable artifacts. Among the exhibits - the publication of old printed editions of 1630-1800 that are not available in book stores in Armenia. The Armenian Fund of the National Library of Russia has about 75,000 units of storage, second in number only to the Russian-language collections.

The Days of Yerevan in Saint-Petersburg are held as part of the program of cooperation between government of Saint-Petersburg and the city administration of Yerevan.

The exhibition will run till July 10.
