Russian language abroad: The I International Forum of teachers and professors of the Russian language of Eastern and Western Europe held in Warsaw

From June 29-30 in Warsaw was held the I International Forum of teachers and professors of the Russian language of Eastern and Western Europe. It was attended by 60 delegates from Russia, Austria, Switzerland, Latvia, Belorussia, Bulgaria and Poland. Specialists discussed features of studying Russian language and learning it as a foreign language in various countries, the use of modern technology in education, and teacher training in Russia and Europe and other topics.

The organizers of the conference are: the Polish Association of Teachers and Professors of the Russian Language, the Institute of Russian Studies, the Faculty of Applied Linguistics at the University of Warsaw, the Russkiy Mir Foundation, the MAPRYAL, the publishing house PWN, the society cooperation “Poland - the East”.

As part of the forum there were held plenary sessions and master-classes on the use of multimedia and information technology at lectures, during Internet classes, school festivals and contests in Russian.
