Society and authority: The program of strengthening the unity of Russian nation and the ethno-cultural development of the peoples of Russia

The Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev approved the federal target program “Strengthening the unity of the Russian nation and the ethno-cultural development of the peoples of Russia (2014-2020 years)”.

The document is developed by the Ministry of economic Development.

The purpose of the Federal Program is to strengthen the unity of the multinational people of the Russian Federation (Russian nation).

The achieving of this goal involves the following tasks:

- Contribution to the strengthening of civic unity and harmonization of interethnic relations;

- Promotion of ethnic and cultural diversity of the peoples of Russia.

The program will ensure the coordination of the state national policy, developing regional strategies for ethnic and cultural development, support for dialogue between public authorities and public national and religious associations.

The term of the Program is 2014-2020 years. Its implementation will be carried out in two stages: the years 2014-2016 and 2017-2020 years.
