Russian regions: The historical and patriotic festival “Wild Field – the Sursky line” dedicated to the 350th anniversary of the city of Penza

August 24, 2013 in Penza is taking place the Interregional historical and patriotic festival “Wild Field – the Sursky line”.

The festival is held on the initiative of the Penza regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society in order to preserve the traditional cultural and historical heritage of Russia and patriotic education of the youth. The festival is dedicated to the 350th anniversary of the founding of the city of Penza.

The Festival “Wild Field – the Sursky line” is a massive inter-regional complex cultural and historical event; the participants of the festival recreate the life of people of different ages - from Russia’s Prince armed force to our time.

In addition, at the event are held lectures and round tables, working stage area with the best performance of regional folk groups, a craft fair and exhibition on the archaeological site of Penza historians and they will tell visitors and residents of the Sursky Krai about the Zolotorevsky mound, as well as show the found during the excavation artifacts.
