Society and culture: The Organizing Committee of the Year of Russian Culture created

The Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev has signed an agreement on the formation of the organizing committee in connection with the Year of Culture and the approval of its composition, the corresponding document is published at the official web site of the legal information.

The Year of Culture in 2014 is declared in Russia by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation.

“The organizational and technical support of the organizing committee to entrust with the Ministry of Culture of Russia”, - the document says.

The Chairman of the organizing committee is appointed the speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko.
